After aggressive promotions of Shankarabharanam, the film has finally hit the screens today. Let’s review it.
Gautham (Nikhil) is a youngster who is a son of rich business man in USA and he leads a careful life. One day, he comes to know that his dad (Suman) is bankrupt and has lots of debts. Now, his dad should clear a debt of two million dollars immediately to save his business. Without any choice, Gautham’s mother decides to sell her palace (Shankarabharanam) of worth more than two million dollars in Bihar. But, the palace is now occupied by their extended family. Gautham impress their relatives and make them sign on NOC, and he is about the close the deal. Now, the twist in the tale arises when some notorious criminal gang kidnaps Gautham and his Uncle’s daughter Happy (Nandita). What will Gautham do now? How he face these criminal? Will he sell the palace? That’s forms rest of the story.
Nikhil is impressive with his performance. He suits the role physically but has nothing to do than being a participant in the whole drama. Nanditha is okay. Anjali played role of a lady Don and gave her best performance. Prudhvi gets an important role and he is outstanding with his comedy timing, dialogues and mannerism as a greedy police officer who is having connections with the kidnapping gang. Sapthagiri brings laughs in bits and pieces.
The production values of the film are rich. Camera work is outstanding, and he is successful in showing rustic locales of Bihar. Also, the locations selected are brilliant. Music is okay. Editing is below par and some family scenes in the first half could have been edited better or removed totally. Screenplay by Kona Venkat is routine and boring. Now, coming to the director, he has done a poor job, and he failed to impress audience. The concept and the story line is good but execution is bad.
• Prudhvi’s comedy
• Boring first half
• Entertainment in bits and pieces
• Bihar backdrop
Good concept and bad execution
